Apr. 24th, 2014 09:36 pmNeal had known it was a bad idea. Peter and Elizabeth had been so good to him. Even Diana and Jones had grown to trust him, sort of. Still, Neal knew Mozzie was right. Neal would never get his freedom, he was too useful to them. Even as he vowed to stay on when Peter was taken away from him. No, he was a puppet on their string.
That is why he had Mozzie pick his anklet. That was how they wound up in Chicago, with new names and cover stories, new lofts and money in the bank to cushion them. They were in the clear.
And yet, Neal couldn't help himself. There was one man in Chicago he always had wanted to meet. The only other man who had chased people as good as Peter did. The detective was legendary.
Which is how Neal found himself in a bar that word was he frequented after work. With the facial hair and fedora, Neal didn't look the same. He wondered if Andrew liked a beard or preferred clean shaven. "Another please. I... I'm waiting on someone." He just doesn't know it yet, Neal mused to himself.
